Gamologie III is an advanced level course in 3-D game development where students learn concepts related to developing videogames such as player interfaces, displaying graphics, and some basic game mechanics with more game features and functions by creating videogames of their own.
At the end of this 12-week course you will have completed up to three hands-on projects. This course is for students interested in becoming a game designer, game artist, or game programmer.Are you a kid with a story you'd like to tell?
Explore game genres and learn to apply Game Development Life Cycle© (GDLC)
Review game development platforms and technologies.
Develop up to 3 mini games in 3-D.
Apply Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, and Soft skills (STEAMS).
Keep developer logs and document each game project.
Lab Location: Irvine and Los Alamitos
Course Duration: 12 weeks/3 months
Grade: 4 and above
Weekdays (Mon - Fri):
Additional Notes: Year-Round Open Enrollment. Choose 1 period per week. Class Participation is Once a week for 100 minutes. 3 month course fee: $680. One mentor for every 3 students. 2 make-up classes allowed. Must complete course within a 14-week period from the first day of the class. No-prorating for missed classes. STEP 3: Visit the lab and Pay Class Fee, turn in the completed forms, at least 1 week before class start date.
