Description
In this camp, beginners will learn how to build their own Android apps using Java and Android Studio. From basic user interface design to integrating APIs, you’ll gain the skills to create your own mobile applications.
Day 1: Introduction to Android development, installing Android Studio, creating a simple “Hello World” app, understanding basic app components like Activities and Intents.
Day 2: Building user interfaces with layouts, creating a responsive UI with ConstraintLayout, working with images and resources.
Day 3: Working with data and storage, using SQLite to store data, understanding Content Providers and accessing device data.
Day 4: Understanding Android networking, building HTTP requests with OkHttp, parsing JSON data, using AsyncTask for background processing.
Day 5: Finalizing the app, testing and debugging, publishing the app to the Google Play Store.
Of course, the exact topics covered and the pace of the course can vary depending on the level and needs of the students.
Bring your own laptop and Android phone/tablet is highly encouraged!
