How can you “Dream Big” and create ideas that have global impact for positive change? What skills are needed for the 21st Century worker and entrepreneur? What tools are involved in the process of design and innovation and which tools are necessary to bring an idea to life? How does one find their career choice and passion in life?
This special program welcomes students to develop and apply the principles of Engineering, Design Thinking, and 21st Century Workforce skills to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Day 1: How to "Dream Big" + Engineering Principles Day 2: The future of Technology + Hands-On Projects Day 3: Propose your Dream Project Day 4: Design & Build Day 5: Presentations and Digital Badges
Design Thinking Modules: Empathy, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test
New World of Work, 21st Century Employability Skills: Adaptability, Analysis, Collaboration, Communication, Digital Fluency, Empathy, Entrepreneurial Mindset, Resilience, Self-Awareness, Social Diversity.
STEAM Career Exploration, focused on Engineering Technologies, including: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Aviation, Automation, Robotic, and Electronic. Tour of IDEA Labs at ATEP included.
