Scouts Workshop

Explore Robotics and STEM with Bytes and Bots

Welcome to Bytes and Bots Scouts Workshop, where young minds embark on an exciting journey into the world of robotics, programming, and STEM exploration. Our workshops are tailored to both Boy and Girl Scouts, offering a hands-on and educational experience like no other.

What Scouts Will Learn

Robot Building:

Unleash Creativity and Engineering Skills

Scouts will roll up their sleeves and dive into the world of robotics by constructing their very own robots. These robots are not just for show – they’re designed to complete a fascinating task: moving objects from one point to another. This hands-on experience provides a strong foundation in robotics mechanics.

Programming Skills:

Code Your Way to Success

In addition to building, Scouts will become programmers as they learn to control their robots. They’ll develop coding skills through a user-friendly interface, enhancing their problem-solving abilities while having fun.

Understanding SDLC:

Explore the Technology Lifecycle

Our workshops introduce Scouts to the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), reflecting the real-world product/application development process. They’ll learn the stages of conception, design, development, testing, and deployment, mirroring how technology evolves in the real world.

Age-Appropriate Projects:

Tailored Challenges for Scouts

Young Scouts:

Girl Scouts at the Brownie or Boy Scouts at Tiger or Wolf ranks are encouraged to participate. They’ll tackle the robot-moving task, demonstrating their creativity and engineering skills.

Junior Robotics

For older students, our Junior Robotics program offers advanced challenges. Scouts will delve into sensor technologies, including buttons, ultrasonic sensors, and light sensors. It’s an opportunity to explore the high-tech side of robotics.

Arduino Exploration (Optional):

For those craving even more technological adventures, we offer the option to work with Arduino. Scouts can create basic circuits and program sensors like buttons or ultrasonic sensors. It’s an excellent introduction to electronics and microcontrollers.
